9th Round Pick

Chris Fetter, RHP from University of Michigan

A 6'8", 230 lb starting pitcher, Chris had a huge spring after seeing a jump in his velocity up to 94 mph. In 94 innings this season he walked just 17 and struck out 103. At 6'8" you could say he has good "downhill plane".

Going to college with an 80MPH fastball and coming out at 94, you think he'll gain anymore velocity?

nice we got another power forward, Tate playing point, Everett at the two, 6'5" Needy at SF, Frieman and Fetter splitting time at the 4. We just need a Center now Paul to replace CY.

1210pads,

We're working on it. We may have to play Pete Carril's Princeton offense without a true 7-footer.

Thabeet the 7'3 center from UConn was at the pads game yesterday in LA, is he on our radar?

Fetter did play forward in high school averaging 6.0 ppg and 2 rpg off the bench in his senior season.

Last season Fetter was getting guys out with 82 SO in 96 IP and was 10-2 with a 2.47 ERA, but he was only throwing 89-90. What changed? Its not like he has gotten much bigger.

Sometimes with bigger guys it's just a matter of them finding their delivery and using the natural leverage that's in there.
